This is my stationery project for Illustration in Product Design (MCAD). The idea is to make a very elegant card that could also be used as a candle shade. I based the design off of inspiration from a trend board that I created.
Outside of the card. Nice textured paper would be used. The fold for the card would be down the middle of the tree. This file shows the design as a whole and the shapes would be made by cutting them out of the paper. (See actual example at bottom of page.)
This is the inside of the card and would be made using some nice kraft paper. The design on the side is the same as the front of the card, but would be printed in a very light, almost sheer, gold ink. The idea would be that it's not very noticeable until you tilt the card in the light.
Actual construction of the card. Here, I cut the design out of the front with an X-acto knife. Kraft paper envelope with nice textured paper lining the inside.
